The Characters

Ulala
The protagonist of Space Channel 5 and Space Channel 5 part 2, Ulala is 22 and has been working as a reporter for SC5 for two years. Her ambition is to become the number one reporter in the galaxy, and she also hopes to meet the mysterious ex-SC5 reporter that saved her from an accident in deep space when she was 12.
Charismatic and funky, she's a dedicated follower of space-fashion, although she always adds some ideas of her own to create a personal, distinctive style. Determined, sincere, and optimistic to the point of being naïve, her main strength is her incredible dancing skill - which is pretty useful in a universe where combat is resolved through dance!

Space Channel 5
The original SC5 game had a very simple idea at its heart: take the age-old game of copying a certain set of instructions, and set it to music. A surprise cameo by Michael Jackson, the inspired character design, and the funky music itself all helped the game become a cult hit despite graphical glitches and interface niggles.
SC5 part 2 fixed all the problems and improved on every other aspect, in particular smoothing out the gameplay and featuring a much more enthusiastic performance from the English voice-cast, creating a near-perfect game.

Dante
Dante is a paranormal investigator and freelance undergound mercenary. He confuses others in his field with his unexplained priorities when it comes to picking jobs - rather than seeking money, he is in fact attempting to track down the demons responsible for killing his mother. What few know is that Dante is actually the son of Sparda, a powerful devil-knight that defeated the devil-prince Mundus 2000 years ago.
Strong, cool, and confident to the point of arrogance, Dante has inherited various superhuman powers from his father, and has the ability to transform himself into a devil for short amounts of time. Despite his braggadocio, trash-talking and devil-may-care attitude, deep down Dante is passionate about avenging his mother's death.

Devil May Cry
The action game that has it all, Devil May Cry was one of the best reasons to own a PS2 back when it was first released. Easy-to-learn yet insanely hard-to-master gameplay along with an entire suite of unlockable difficulty options made it accessible to players of all abilities; the entertainingly extreme character of Dante and the engrossing, oppressive atmosphere of the game all helped the game garner well-deserved success.
